''A man that hath friends must show himself friendly.''
Question: If you're friends with someone but don't always get along with them because something may have happened, do you try to be a better friend or give up on that friendship?
You strive to be a better friend. I have faced this type of situation before. Personally, I have felt like it would be easier to just give it up...less hassle. But, God reminds me that sometimes I may cause problems for other folks also...do I want them to "give up" on our friendship? Of course not. When struggles come with a certain person...sometimes repeatedly...remember YOURSELF at your worst...and then ask God to help you to be an iron sharpeneth iron kind of friend. You may be able to be an encouragement or a help to that person...even when you don't even realize it. I know that MY answer is the harder takes a little more work and prayer type of road to take (it may even be the "Road Less Traveled"...ha ha) but, I believe that it is the more Christlike approach. Love ya, Kales! Good...thought-provoking question!
